Ok, this time we are about to show you 1 simple, yet very powerful strategy. This strategy not only will let you have more ads on Google AdWords, but it will help you to save time as well.

If you have been advertising with AdWords for some time, you know that you have limits on your account.

First, you are limited to have only 25 active campaigns. Then, you can only have up to 50.000 keywords on your account. There is a number of ad groups you can have per campaign as well - you can have up to 100 active ad groups per campaign.

Ok, the ad groups limits and the keywords limits do not look very bad at first as their numbers look pretty high, but what can we do about the 25 active campaigns? Doesn`t it look like just a few? For people who are doing PPC advertising, and lots of it, this WOULD be a problem…

… if they would not have the solution! ;)

So, there is a very easy way to solve this. And that also helps to increase productivity!

Here is what you need to do:

(First, you will have to think a bit about it, and only then go and create the campaigns and ad groups.)

FOR CAMPAIGNS:

You need to create just a few campaigns. Eaxh of the campaigns should be dedicated to a broad group or products or services you promote. NOT to a specific product or a group of products.

Example:

Campaign 1 - Tangible goods (search network)

Campaign 2 - Software (search network)

Campaign 3 - Information products (search network)

Campaign 4 - Information products (content network)

Campaign 5 - Travel (content network)

Campaign 6 - CPA products (content network)

and so on.

This organizes your campaigns in a very good order, and you actually never run out of them. We have up to 10 active campaigns at any given time, and this is really enough when you group them like that.

FOR AD GROUPS:

The most important thing when it comes to ad groups, is to number them right. Just like you would normally have an ad group for “women mountain bicycles”, you would need to have it like “000111 women mountain bicycles”.

The number will make it easy for you to get the reports, and the number will actually show you what ad groups belong to the same “category”. We suggest you number your ad groups by 5 or 6 digits, so you never run out of numbers. But most of the times, 4 digit numbering will be enough.

Please find a few examples below:

Say you used to have a category “fat loss 4 idiots diet”, and ad groups for that category were:

- “fat loss for idiots”,

- “fat loss 4 dummies”, and

- “diet for idiots”.

Now, when you use our smart numbering strategy, your new category and ad groups will look like this:

Category: Informational products

Ad groups:

- “000001 fat loss for idiots”

- “000001 fat loss 4 dummies”

- “000001 diet for idiots”

Your other ad groups in the same category could be:

- “000002 how to grow taller”

- “000002 how to increase height”

- “000002 become taller”

As groups in another category can look like this:

Category: Travel

Ad Groups:

- “000003 beach wedding seychelles”

- “000003 plan a wedding on a beach in seychelles”

- “000003 seychelles wedding on the beach”

And so on.

This not only help you to “increase” the account limits, but it lets you save time as well. Which in fact lets you make even more money! When taking reports, you don`t have to mess with different categories. Everything is organized in a very comfortable way.

If you have plenty of ads and ad groups already. You might want to leave them as they are, or you can re-organize them this way.
