Pay Per Click Internet Marketing - How NOT To Lose Money On PPC
Are you just starting with Pay Per Click Internet Marketing? Or, maybe you already stopped after losing money? Either way, there are things you need to know if you want not to lose money on advertising, and even better - to make profits.
This article is short but sweet. I keep it simple, and believe you will make more money by following what I suggest.
What you need to know before starting to pay money for clicks, is your breaking point. That means, you need to know how many visitors bring how many sales. You just need to know you conversion rates, so you can easily get your numbers.
For example - if you have a landing page for some product. Which you get an affiliate commission for, of $35 for one sale. And you know that the conversion rate of your sales page is 2%. Then you make $70 per each 100 visitors. That means, you could actually pay $50 or even $60, to get those 100 people to your site, to make more money than you spend. So the numbers show that you can pay up to $0.50 or $0.60, for each click.
Now, when you know these numbers, before starting to create your campaigns, you should know what Google (let`s talk about Google now as this is where most of the people go to buy their traffic) suggests you to bid on them. One way to find this out, is to go to Google Keyword Tool, enter your keywords. And when on the results page, where it says ” Choose columns to be displayed:”, on the drop down menu, choose the “Show Estimated Avg CPC”.
So you see how much Google wants you to bid on these keywords.
Ok, don`t go and bid right away. Read further.
Start bidding at least 3 times less than Google suggests. Don`t worry about anything, just do that. Why?
Because it works! Because when suggesting bids, Google is watching THEIR business, not yours. This is what THEY want you to pay. But you do not care about their business, you do care about your own. So instead of paying what they want you to, you offer your price for having the ads out there. And by bidding less, you have the same chances to get your ads shown! Of course, they might be shown on lower positions, but did you know than many, many times ads on 3-4 positions get as good results, as ads on the first position? Sometimes even better!
Honestly, we NEVER pay what Google wants. We pay way less. And we DO get great results. And we do make more money by doing this.
After all, we do OUR business right?
